The Network seeks to connect the progressive Muslim leadership with the lived realities of queer Muslims.
This is achieved through the Network’s online platform and the annual All-Inclusive Islamic Retreat.
Who we are
The network was founded by Imam Muhsin Hendricks. The world’s first openly queer Imam.
The network is a space for those who seek to promote justice for people who are marginalized based on sexual orientation & gender identity.
The Network is administered by Al-Ghurbaah Foundation based in Cape Town, South Africa.
What we do
The aim of the network is to promote an Islam that is all-inclusive and compassion-centred.
The network provides a space for information sharing, training and collaboration.
